Dragon's Tail Nine
A showcase round for the Top Nine players in Pro Open and Top Three in Advanced
"This time, it counts"

The Dragon's Tail Nine, once a bonus round for the top players on the day regardless of division, is now a part of the DDGC tournament itself.  At minimum, the top nine players in the Pro Open division and top three players in the Advanced Division will move on to the nine-hole bonus round, which will count toward their cumulative final score.

All Pro Open players who make it to and complete the DT9 are assured cashing spots.  That's right, payout in Pro Open goes to every person who finishes the DT9.  The Advanced participants will be rewarded in the same fashion with non-cash prizes equal to or greater in value than their entry fees.

Dragon's Tail course:
DT1   The DT9 tee to Hole #2 Basket
  DT2   Hole 3
  DT3   Hole 4
  DT4   Hole 5
  DT5   Hole 6
  DT6   Hole 7
  DT7   Hole 8
  DT8   Hole 9
  DT9   Tee 13 to Hole 18

DT9 Tiebreaker Rules:

In the event of a tie for the final qualifier position for the DT9 (9th place in Pro Open, 3rd place in Advanced), all tied players will begin the round, but some will be eliminated in sudden death fashion until there are only the maximum number of players remain (9 in Pro Open, 3 in Advanced). For example, if two players are tied for 9th in Pro Open, both will begin the round on hole 1.  If player A records a 4 while player B records a 5, player B is eliminated and his round is over.  Player A continues the round.
