The Dragan Disc
Golf Classic is now in its twelfth year and marks a full return to the
classic one-day, noon start format for which the tournament is famous.
The motto this year is "back to basics"...basic format, basic pricing,
basic good fun.
As a PDGA B-tier event, the pro purse will have a
minimum of $500 added, with the possibility of even more. Twenty
spots will be reserved for the Pro Open & Pro Women's divisions through
May 19, 2012. After that, if any of those twenty spots remain, they will opened up
on a
first-come, first-served basis.
With the return to a one-day
format, the player capacity for the event has been reduced to just
72 players. Past DDGCs have sold out in advance, and with
fewer available spots, this year should be no different.
Online and by mail
pre-registration will open on February 1, 2012. Mark that date
and don't miss out on your chance to take part in what has annually
been the biggest PDGA
event in Maine.

Once again, the DDGC is an official qualifying
tournament for the
Vibram Open
National Tour event to be held August 16-19, 2012 in Leicester MA.
At least two spots will be up for grabs to the top finishing
players, regardless of division, who opt in to qualifying.
Interested players must pay a $10 qualification fee for the opportunity, and
must not be otherwise qualified or registered for the Vibram Open in
order to compete.
Who wants to play
the Yetter?
The 2012 DDGC Pro Open, Pro Women, and Advanced
champions will earn a PAID spot in the
Eric C Yetter
Champions Cup PDGA Supertour event in Newtown PA on September
8-9. A partnership that began at the 2006 Yetter, Jeremy Koling,
Catrina Allen, and Eric Eichhorst can play the 2012 DDGC free of
charge courtesy of winning the 2011 Yetter Champions Cup.
2012 DDGC entry fees are listed on the
players' page. Online registration
opens on February 1. Don't miss it.
