Ace Pot ($140) Mike Pratt in CTP throw-off |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Temperatures in the high teens
with steady 15 mph winds (gusts of 20-25). There was a thin covering
of crusty snow on the ground, not enough to lose a disc in, but enough to
get some mean skips off the icy sections. Semi-Pro saw a tight first round top to bottom, and a hot come-from-behind victory for Scott Connell and the birthday boy Bob Enman. Pro also yielded an extremely tight pack after one round, and an exciting see-saw battle for first (no 4s by either team and no more than a one stroke separation) that went down to the very last hole. With Kyle and Josh parked against the 18th pin for the drop-in deuce, Mike converted Daryl's drive into a 20 foot birdie to maintain their 1-stroke victory. Congrats to the winners, who took home some sweet Ice Bowl plaques. For those who missed it this year, be sure not to miss next year's bigger and better Frost Dragon Ice Doubles. |
